Conley received the  award on behalf of his mother, Marie Conley of Boston, who was  recognized for sacrificing her own life to save a young boy by  shielding him with her own body from a car that was barreling  towards him October 21, 2008  See Full Article  THE LAST MAN STANDING OF ANOTHER ERA HAS FALLEN Claude Choules, the only remaining male veteran of World War I and  one of the last people to have served in both world wars, died May  5 at a nursing home near Perth in western Australia. He was 110,  and no cause of death was reported.
